  1. I think the genus name has changed on this one to Turbinellus. And, there’s already a species page for Turbinellus floccosus. It would be good if we can merge the old with the new. Posted 6 years ago
    1. How should we go about it Ferdy? There's only 3- I can rename my two and the one other under the old genus. Posted 6 years ago
      1. Yes, that would be the correct way to go about it. So remove the identification of the 3 photos of this old genus, next re-identify all 3 using Turbinellus floccosus. In the end, we'd still have the old species record, yet no photo would be associated with it, therefore it doesn't show up in the species browser. Posted 6 years ago

''Turbinellus floccosus'', sometimes known as the shaggy, scaly, or woolly chanterelle, is a cantharelloid mushroom of the family Gomphaceae native to Asia and North America. It was known as ''Gomphus floccosus'' until 2011, when it was found to be only distantly related to the genus's type species, ''G. clavatus''.
