
A Five-banded Gliding Lizard (Draco quinquefasciatus) giving me the stink eye
It is giving me the stink eye because I captured it sleeping on this tree and gently expanded its "wings" (officially called patagia) to check which species it was. I then put it back on the tree in the same position it had been, but now it was on to me.

The five banded gliding lizard, Draco quinquefasciatus, is found in lowland rainforests from southern Thaliand and Malaysia to Sumatra and Borneo, and in Singapore. It is one of about 40 species in its genus, all lizards that glide using a membrane supported by elongated thoracic ribs (the patagium).
