Camphor-Weed (Pluchea camphorata)
Growing in a wetland in Floyd County, GA.
This plant exudes a distinctive camphorous odor from its leaves and stems when bruised or touched. Many people find the scent disagreeable, likening it to feline urine. However, I find the smell pleasant (and no, I don't like the smell of cat urine!).

I guess in this case it is similar to gasoline, some find the smell disgusting, some love it. Posted 7 years ago
