
Butter and Eggs - Linaria vulgaris
Alternate leaves that are distributed around the central stem. The flowers, which are distributed around the raceme, were about 3 cm long and consisted of a tubular corolla with a pale yellow upper lip and an orange-yellow lower lip.
Habitat: Growing on the side of a small pond in a disturbed area.

"Linaria vulgaris" is a species of toadflax, native to most of Europe and northern Asia, from the United Kingdom south to Spain in the west, and east to eastern Siberia and western China. It has also been introduced and is now common in North America.
