
Creeping Lespedeza (Lespedeza repens)?
TENTATIVE ID.
On dirt roadsides near a dense mixed hardwood/coniferous forest in NW Georgia (Gordon County), US. August 25, 2018.
Appressed/strigose pubescence on stems. Stipules 4-5 mm in length. No axillary leaves on stems (unless I'm interpreting that incorrectly).

Lespedeza repens, common names creeping lespedeza, creeping bush-clover, and trailing lespedeza, is a plant native to the United States. It is listed as a species of special concern in Connecticut and as rare in New York.
