I have a lot of respect for animals, but I draw a line when they start invading/destroying my personal space. Most of my life I was rather poor, so my living arrangements were not always free of invaders like rats, mice, and cockroaches. Don't get me started on the first place Jason and I rented (before we were married). Waking up to cockroaches crawling on our faces was not a pleasant experience!
I have to admit I'm also pretty terrified of rodents in my personal space (I was bitten as a child), but I think they are so adorable in the wild. It is a very strange thing! Posted 7 years ago
One of the (few) advantages of a cold climate as seen in the Netherlands is that for the better part of the year, it's too cold for insects. Posted 7 years ago
This same woman had an incident with a bat as well...She got up during the night to go to the bathroom, and as she was sitting there, she heard a noise. She looked down, and perched upside down in the toilet was a bat - that she had just peed on. Posted 7 years ago
