      1. I struggle with shimmer too. And, wetness/stickiness on mushrooms. It's so hard to avoid the blur. This shot is lovely though!

        I haven't seen many moths the last few nights. Hopefully the rain will bring some in tonight. Last night, I was trying to shoot an armyworm moth, which are so annoying erratic. It flew down my shirt, and as I was frantically trying to liberate it, it flew out and into my mouth. It took me a bit to recover from that!

        1. I know how that is!! Thanks so much! I was worried that I didn't capture enough of its glory! :D

          The moths here are not very active either. We have hit a slightly dry spell (only a small amount of rain last week), and I'm hoping for more storms (for both mushies and moths)!

"Idaea scintillularia", the diminutive wave, is a species of geometrid moth in the family Geometridae. It is found in North America. The MONA or Hodges number for "Idaea scintillularia" is 7105.
