      Over 900 photos of magic happened! Of course, lots of those pics are blurry or will just be different views of the same mushroom. I walked only 1/2 mile in the woods and saw mushrooms every couple feet. It took me 3 hours to walk that 1/2 mile because of all the mushrooms! I had to pick and choose which ones to photograph. It was crazy!! I wish I had endless time and energy for that location. Posted 7 years ago

The Violet Coral

"Clavaria zollingeri", commonly known as the violet coral or the magenta coral, is a widely distributed species of fungus. It produces striking tubular, purple to pinkish-violet fruit bodies that grow up to 10 cm tall and 7 cm wide.
