  1. Christine, I have a question. You have a microscope, right? Would it be possible take photos through the microscope? Or is that a dumb question. Posted 7 years ago
    1. No dumb questions ;)

I have 2 scopes - a dissecting microscope and a compound microscope. The compound scope can have a camera hooked up to it, but I haven't gotten the camera for it yet.

      1. Thanks. I don't know about the difference between these two scope types. You can't use your normal camera to look through the scope? Posted 7 years ago
        1. Dissecting scopes are for bigger things, like insects, etc. Compound scopes are for slides. I don’t know much about microscopy and am not sure if a normal camera can be used, but I’m going to look that up. I know that my compound scope has a compatible camera/computer attachment that I can buy separately. I was actually just looking into it last week because I’m teaching cell bio later this fall :) Posted 7 years ago, modified one year ago
        2. I'm pretty sure you need some sort of adapter to get proper photographs. Posted 7 years ago
          1. You're probably right. I just saw an ad for special adapter for swarovski scoping gear. Posted 7 years ago
