Buff Footman, Heeswijk-Dinther, Netherlands

Found on oak leaf near the ground in a mixed forest. Named "Little pine bear" in dutch. The larvae feed on lichen and algae, usually on pine trees, but also on oak trees.

  Thanks! No, it's a daytime shot (note that the photo capture time can be seen on the right). This one was in a dark area near the ground though. I should have brightened a bit more during post processing. Posted 7 years ago
