Flatheaded Appletree Borer - Chrysobothris femorata Total length: ~10 mm.  I was taking a picture of the gall on this oak leaf when this little beetle landed on the leaf. It was only there for a split second, but I managed to at least get a shot of it before it flew off!<br />

Flatheaded Appletree Borer - Chrysobothris femorata
