  1. Seriously, your extended light trap sessions are turning into a full scale field survey. Same is true of course for your plants and fungi. Don't underestimate how this builds up over time! Posted 7 years ago
    1. I enjoy doing it! It only takes about 10 minutes a night, and I never know what will be out there. Since the light is only on for a couple hours, I am not altering the insects' lives too much - unless of course they fall prey to a spider on my deck. Posted 7 years ago

''Endothenia hebesana'', the verbena bud moth, is a species of moth of the family Tortricidae. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, California, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. The habitat consists of black spruce-sphagnum bogs.

The length of the forewings is 5-8.2 mm for both sexes. The forewings vary from dusky brown.. more
