Smoky Clavaria - Clavaria fumosa Beautiful, pale pink coral fungi.  The fruiting bodies were 5-8 cm tall, mostly cylindrical with a  slightly tapered base, and some had longitudinal grooves. They were very fragile and waxy.<br />

Beautiful, pale pink coral fungi. The fruiting bodies were 5-8 cm tall, mostly cylindrical with a slightly tapered base, and some had longitudinal grooves. They were very fragile and waxy.

''Clavaria fumosa'', commonly known as the smoky clavaria, is a species of coral fungus in the family Clavariaceae. It was originally described by Christian Hendrik Persoon in 1795. The specific epithet ''fumosa'' means "smoky".
