Bittern, from the Ministry of Silly Walks Due to the harsh winter, bitterns were forced to leave their hidings. <br />
Sad for them, but a good opportunity for photographers....<br />
This particular bittern was quite cooperative and gave me the chance to enjoy its interesting behaviour.<br />
And when he tried to cross the slippery ice I was sure.....dinosaurs still exist! ;)<br />

The Eurasian Bittern or Great Bittern is a wading bird of the heron family Ardeidae. It is one of the species to which the ''Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds'' applies.
