
Pill Bugs (Armadillidium nasatum)
Description:
Isopods of multiple shades of gray with longitudinal patterns from head to rear. A slightly projected scutellum (snout) is present anteriorly. Armadillidium nasatum is thought to have originated in Britain but has been intorduced to many other areas of the world.
Habitat:
Found under the bark of a large, rotting willow oak tree in a back yard.

''Armadillidium nasatum'' is a large, Britain-based species of woodlouse that has been introduced to North America, along with ''Armadillidium vulgare'' also found in other parts of Europe.
