This moth was so shiny and beautiful!

Total length: ~ 7 mm. Black forewing has metallic silvery blue patches. Labial palps are orange.

''Dichomeris ochripalpella'', the shining dichomeris moth, is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Zeller in 1873. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from southern Quebec and southern Ontario to New Jersey, North Carolina and Arkansas.

The length of the forewings is 5.4-6.5 mm. The forewings are deep brown, with a steel-blue, shining streak along the costa, extending from the base to an orange-yellow costal spot at the beginning of the apical cilia,.. more
