Large Lace Border Moth (Scopula limboundata)

Scopula inductata or limboundata? I'm pretty sure this is S. limboundata, but I will update it if I hear any different.

  1. Tough one! They are so similar and it seems to have features of both. The rounded wings look more like S. Inductata, but I think I agree with your ID anyway. How big was the wingspan? Posted 7 years ago

The Large Lace-border is a moth of the Geometridae family. It is found in North America east of the Rocky Mountains. There is a single and unconfirmed record from Great Britain. The wingspan is 25–30 mm. Adults are on wing from late May to late August or early September. The larvae feed on apple, blueberry, clover, dandelion, meadow-beauty, and black cherry.
