  1. First in this order...nice! Posted 7 years ago
    1. I hope the species is correct. I have many pics of Cerianthids but they are very difficult to ID to the level of species. Not even online you find them as species but only as genus. Posted 7 years ago
      1. Yes, have many pics of them, but not able to verify the ID :( Posted 7 years ago
        1. I imagine you also may have many, Albert. And they are very beautiful and colorful. It would be nice to be able to group them as genus here in JD. We could make a list maybe? what do you think, Ferdy? Posted 7 years ago
          1. Sure, you can create as many lists as you want, regarding any topic. Albert also maintains a list "identified to the genus level". Posted 7 years ago
            1. I will create one for the Cerianthids because they are very colorful and it would make a good variety of pictures on its own. Can other people add to a list other than the creator of the list? I ask so that Albert can also add them there if he wants?

              1. Marta, sorry, lists are personal, only the creator can add entries to them. You can communicate with others to request to add items to lists of course, but that's a lot of manual work.

If you'd like to create a shared grouping, the best way to go is to use a tag.

                1. Ok, then I will look for the postings and add them to the new list. Posted 7 years ago

''Pachycerianthus fimbriatus'' is a cerianthid anemone that burrows in substrate and lives in a semi-rigid tube made of felted nematocysts. The anemone is often seen in bright orange to red.

Like most anemones, the tube-dwelling anemone contains stinging cells or nematocytes along its tentacles, however, the cells are not toxic to humans.
