    1. I'm working on it! :D
      Edit: My method involves pointing my finger down in front of their antennae/mouthparts. If you give a light nudge, they will usually mount your finger!

      1. That is good to know, the method makes sense, but it may not be obvious that it is that simple. Theory could be that many insects have relatively poor eye sight, and mistake the finger for a branch? Posted 7 years ago
        1. It also seems to be easier if they have been at rest for some time (usually first thing in the morning-- after the lights have been on all night). Posted 7 years ago
          1. Definitely, true for almost all insects, approach them in the morning when they are still cold. Or so I heard, because I'm not a morning person at all :) Posted 7 years ago

The Soybean Looper is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is known as Falso Medidor in north-eastern Mexico. It is found from Southern Quebec and Southern Ontario through the eastern and southern part of the United States to Central America and South America, the Antilles and the Galápagos Islands.
