Amblyptilia acanthadactyla Plume Moth - closeup, Heesch, Netherlands
My last entry for Moth Week 2018 before it closes. This one is very fresh, taken only one hour ago where I found it at rest on the kitchen wall. There's only 37 species of plume moths in the Netherlands, or as we call them "feather moths". Most plume moths are very picky about their host plant, but apparently this one is an exception.

"Amblyptilia acanthadactyla" is a moth of the family Pterophoroidea that can be found in Europe. It is also known from Iran and Georgia. The wingspan is 17–23 millimetres. The moth flies nearly year round. The larvae feed on various low growing plants.
