
Mouse Moth - Amphipyra tragopoginis
This mouse moth was a bit camera shy!
Total length: 20 mm. Gray-brown forewing with black orbicular dot and two black dots at either end of the reniform spot. Subterminal line had a row of short, black lines along the veins.
Attracted to a moth light in a rural area.

The mouse moth is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It is a widespread species with a Holarctic distribution.
