  1. The Old Point National Park was my favorite part of San Andres, with a beautiful boardwalk winding for several km through the mangroves, no tourists, lots of birds, and hardly any mosquitoes!
    I ran into a nice group of these fellows who were foraging in the mud right below the boardwalk. They were very relaxed and I got to watch these miniature jackhammers from a very close range for a long time, a much nicer way to see waders than what I'm used to!

    1. We had a nice boardwalk in Utria National Park last October, very convenient indeed. Unfortunately the climate there, awful does not even begin to describe it :) Posted 7 years ago
