  1. A lovely little oriole, and a funny quirk of biogeography: a species mainly restricted to Jamaica, AND this one Colombian island, 800 km away! Posted 7 years ago
  2. Such a vivid beauty! Posted 7 years ago

The Jamaican oriole is found chiefly on the island of Jamaica. There is a distinct subspecies on the island of San Andrès, while another from the island of Grand Cayman is considered extinct. This species is more closely related to the northern orioles, such as the Baltimore oriole, rather than other Caribbean members of the genus.
