
Pale Phalaenostola - Phalaenostola metonalis
Total length: 15 mm. Reddish brown forewings with brown median band. Slightly wavy subterminal line merges with apical dash. Long, divergent labial palps are very noticeable.
Attracted to a moth light on a very rainy night.

The pale phalaenostola, tufted snout or pale epidelta is a moth of the family Erebidae. It is found from British Columbia to Newfoundland, south to North Carolina, west to Missouri.
