Agreeable Tiger Moth - Spilosoma congrua
Total length: 20 mm. Forewings and abdomen were completely white with no spots. Coxa and femur of forelegs were orange.
I spotted seven of these moths under my moth light last night. This one landed on my finger and then started warming up its wings so that it could fly away.

The agreeable tiger moth is one of three species of white tiger moth which are common in the United States. It has pronounced black eyes, white abdomen, and orange "bib" which set it apart from its cousin the Virginia tiger moth. Like its cousin, it tents its wings when as at rest.
