Description:
11 mm Tortricid moth with green and gold/pink patterns.

Habitat:
At porch lights near overgrown field/front yard and mixed hardwood forest.

Just yesterday I was commenting how I'm surprised we have an underwhelming 7 leafrollers on the platform only. Given how pretty much all habitats, even disturbed ones, have hundreds of species, that's shockingly low. I can see why though, they're so tiny and easily overlooked.     I can relate! Yesterday night I saw a 3-5mm dark speckle on the outside wall, could barely focus on it with my own eyes. Turns out to be one of these. I think they're all around us all the time we just don't see them. Posted 7 years ago
