Drepanosticta bine (Bine's Shadowdamsel), Kottawa, Sri Lanka I cannot find this in the species list. This was found in Kottawa Forest Reserve. It&#039;s known to be part of the endemic genus Platystictidae. Many of the damselflies in this genus are hard to distinguish, however, this is not necessarily so for this species, due to its tricoloured eyes and its body being completely dark black/brown. It has only very recently been described. <br />
As a reference I used Dragonfly Fauna of Sri Lanka, by Karen Conniff, Nancy Van der Poorten and Matjaž Bedjanič. I also used Dragonflies of Sri Lanka by Gehan De Silva.
