Planthopper Nymph - Jikradia olitoria
It was vibrant orange with greenish yellow eyes. The tip of its abdomen pointed upwards, but there were no waxy filaments. This is the only shot I was able to get before it took off - it sort of bounced away.
Spotted in a rural butterfly garden.

"Jikradia olitoria" is a species of leafhopper in the family Cicadellidae found mainly in eastern North America.
