Max length : 10.0 cm. Dorsal spines (total): 8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 8. Numerous thin lines on body and thick bands through eye and below. Sometimes a small black peduncular spot.
Distribution: Western Pacific. Habitat: Found in deep and shallow lagoons with coral heads. Solitary or in small groups. Life Cycle and mating Behavior: Mouthbrooders. Distinct pairing during courtship and spawning.
