Variable Brittle Star (Ophiomastix variabilis)

Depth: 10-60 ft. (3-18 m)
Distribution: Indo-Pacific

Brown to black disc and arms with variable gold, yellow or white margins.
Numerous pointed spines, a few with distinctive paddle-like structure.
Inhabit reefs and rubble, often in the open.
