
Hunchback Bee Fly - Lepidophora lutea
fly looks like a cross between a bee, a mosquito, and a midge. It was awesome. Too bad it wouldn't stay still for many pictures, but at least I got it on video :)
This species has abundant yellow scales on the sides of the fourth abdominal segments and on the thorax.
Spotted on the side of a pond on a super sunny morning.
