  1. I've said it before, but I love these collages! Just curious - do you use them for educational or scientific purposes? They are top notch! Posted one year ago
    1. Hi Christine, thanks for the kind words. Mostly all this is just "fun and games" :o)
One of the first things I did after started off my "insects"-hobby some 10 years ago, was that I tried to document the development of all the Ladybird species I could find larvae or eggs for, as at the time there were no good images around on the internet for many of the species, so I figured it would be helpful to add to that. But most of those series were/are so @#$%%# awful that I don't dare uploading these ;o)
Anyway, as it turns out, pre-imaginal stages of many, many insects (and other invertebrates) could really use some more images/documenting for the "general public" to be easily accessible, so I often try to shoot series of eggs/larvae/nymphs I find in the field. Seems such series "add" more to the image base that is being formed on the internet than just one image more of an imago to add to the thousands already around ;o)

      1. Wow, very cool and so true that immature stages have been overlooked for too long - unless of course they are "pretty". You do an amazing job! Posted one year ago
