Slime Mold - Arcyria incarnata I found this awesome, red slime mold growing on rotting wood in a mostly deciduous forest. It was tiny - each fruiting body was 0.5-2 mm tall and cylindrical in shape. They were growing in clusters.<br />

    1. Thanks! It was really cool- when I gently touched it, the red, fluffy stuff completely collapsed into dust.

      Yes, the site is helpful! I think it is Arcyria incarnata, but am waiting for confirmation.
