Distant Peregrine falcon - Falco peregrinus A remote photo of Peregrine falcon - Falco peregrinus over Besaparski hills protected area. The moment I noticed a pair of these falcons, one of them made a raid and went not more than 5 meters from me. His speed was stunning. This falcon is the fastest animal of the world - reaching about 320 km/h during its hunting dives. I was able to capture the other one who was flying in the height. 1. It's an impressive flyer indeed! Note that they can also take a 90 degree turn in a split second. On TV they did a test where they dropped the bird of a church tower. It went down full speed and only about 3m before crashing into the ground, it makes an instant 90 degree upwards turn. Posted 7 years ago

The peregrine falcon, also known as the peregrine, and historically as the duck hawk in North America, is a cosmopolitan bird of prey in the family Falconidae. A large, crow-sized falcon, it has a blue-grey back, barred white underparts, and a black head.
