About 50 minutes later I found this specimen stretching on the inside of a long leaf. In dutch they are aptly named &quot;common stretch spider&quot;. Supposedly they take this position when feeling threatened. Another angle:<br />

  1. It's doing one of my favorite yoga poses: reverse corpse pose. My fave is corpse pose, lol. :D Posted 7 years ago
    1. I never knew yoga was this dark. Well, I kind of do, Henriette practices it. On her way out I usually say "are you going to paid sleeping again?".

Corpse pose is good though, I lay on our lawn in the backyard like that after a day's work, and several additional hours of commute.

      1. Corpse pose is the best, especially after a day like you describe. Several hours commute :-O. You should suggest to your employer that they start "work from home days". They are becoming popular in the US for computer-ish jobs. They save gas and reduce emissions. Or, would such a suggestion be too bold and make you look like a sluggard? Hmm. Maybe just stick with the "paid sleeping" yoga... Posted 7 years ago
        1. I'm already working one day from home. I may request an additional day if things continue this way. Single trip now takes 1-4 hours, so I typically spent half a work day each day just to get to work. It's not a distance problem, if I'd drive this route at night, It would take 25-30 mins.

And this is the good part of the year, with plenty of daylight and good weather :(
