    1. Yes, complex. One of these times I’m going to put a mm ruler in the photo so viewers can get an idea of scale. Those mahogany brown “needles” are last year’s fir tree needles and are about 2.5 to 3cm long. It really seems the closer one gets the more complex it is! Posted 7 years ago
