White Line Sea Cucumber (Synaptula media)

Batu Lubang Besar, Lembeh.
They are the sea cucumbers dark grey with white stripes and blotches. the white ones are Lampert's sea cucumbers. Both species feed on sponges.

The Whiteline Sea Cucumber

Is a sea cucumber of up to 11 cm (4 and 1/4 in.).
Dark brown to grey with white lines and dashes. Long thin body with ten pinnate tentacles.
Inhabit shallow reefs, often on sponges, where they are often found in dense aggregations.
West Pacific from Indonesia and Philippines to Australia and New Caledonia.
