Peron's Tree Frog
45 mm length. One evening, I opened the front door to leave and found this character relaxing on the door frame! These frogs are some of the most variable in regard colouration and they have the ability to change colour in less than an hour. Shades of grey and brown have been seen, right through to almost white. A characteristic of the genus Litoria is the pupils, which appear cross-shaped.
Peron's tree frog, the emerald-spotted tree frog, the emerald-speckled tree frog, the laughing tree frog, or the maniacal cackle frog is a common Australian tree frog of the family Hylidae.
