  1. Welcome to the sedge party! :D Yay! I've recruited my first member! Beware: you will become hooked on sedges, rushes, and grasses very quickly!

And what a beautiful specimen! I've never seen this before!

    1. Thanks! I saw this one in Maine - in a coniferous forest. Weird. There was a salt marsh and meadow nearbyish though.

I tried to get some more pics of sedges and whatnot this morning, but it was soooo hot and humid. Totally miserable, and I ended up with a few hundred blurry shots and a couple decent ones ;P. Not sure why I bother when it gets so humid because my shots suck eggs in this weather.

You have inspired me to adore sedges though! They are so pretty, but tricky to photograph because of dof.

I have a "full body" shot of this one that I will upload later :)

      1. I have never known your photos to "suck eggs," Christine!

I agree that they can be difficult to capture at times! Do you ever practice file stacking with your photos?

        1. Lol, thanks. I’ll send you some “special” ones on FB so you can have a good laugh :D.

I have never file stacked, but have heard of it. Honestly, I have no idea what it means.

      1. You know you wanna join the party, Ferdy! :P Posted 7 years ago
        1. I totally do, its early summer so everything is buzzing and blooming! Unfortunately, I'm squeezed and stretched so much in time that it's hard to find the room for it. If it was up to me, I'd go out every day. Posted 7 years ago
          1. Ferdy, sounds like you need a vacation! Posted 7 years ago
            1. Can only agree :) Posted 7 years ago
