  1. It'll still be a while before I start uploading photos from my last trip to Colombia, but in the meantime, while looking at past bird sightings, I found this misidentified photo, got the correct ID, and since it's a new genus for JD, thought I'd put it up here :) Posted 7 years ago

The golden-breasted puffleg is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae.

It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
