Dry, smooth, white-capped mushroom with pink free gills and a white stipe with a thin annulus. Younger mushroom still with partial veil in tact. Spore print a dark chocolate brown.
Growing gregariously on a mown grassy lawn in full sun (at a public park).
A fungus within the Agaricaceae family. Macroscopically, Agaricus andrewii is nearly indiscernable from Agaricus campestris (Meadow mushroom), but it usually has a much smoother and whiter cap than the latter.
