Silver Fox, Zie-Zoo, Netherlands
This is a black and white color morph of the Red Fox (vulpes vulpes). It has a long history of being exploited, specifically bred for its fur. This industry is still not fully outlawed. To this day, China produces 10 million furs per year. Europe produces 2 million per year, most in Finland. In the Netherlands, there was only a tiny industry. Breeding these animals for fur is forbidden as of 2008, yet the fur produced elsewhere is still allowed to be sold here.

The red fox is the largest of the true foxes, as well as being the most geographically spread member of the Carnivora, being distributed across the entire northern hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to North Africa, Central America and the steppes of Asia.
