        Funny, but not really related story...I was sitting on a bench in Wales when I was in college many years ago and saw a cute little pigeon watching me. I had just been to a bakery and decided to give it a few crumbs. Within SECONDS, dozens of pigeons and some gulls descended on me, making incredible noise, sitting ON me, pecking at my feet, etc. It was freaking crazy. I was later told that the pigeons in the area (maybe everywhere??) were notorious for this behavior. And, I don't think I have ever fed a pigeon or gull since ;) Posted 7 years ago

          Yeah both gulls and doves are very well adapted to human waste, feeding, etc, and have lots their fright. Highly common in Europe to have them everywhere. Posted 7 years ago
