Rolled-Leaf Spider - Poltys idae
An amazing looking Spider, this my third time to see a Poltys Spider and this one is more special. This particular one has an interesting marking on its 'back-side' as though it has false eyes and the markings also looks like a 'face'. Spiders from the genus Poltys are known to build an orb web at night to capture prey and the web is eaten up before dawn and reconstructed after dusk.

@Albert: amazing find! Posted 7 years ago
Yep, Ferdy, Spiders from this genus are very cryptic. They are probably a lot of them around, just that difficult to spot/find due to their camouflage particularly during day time as they only come out in the open at night to hunt for food. Posted 7 years ago
