Rolled-Leaf Spider - Poltys idae An amazing looking Spider, this my third time to see a Poltys Spider and this one is more special. This particular one has an interesting marking on its 'back-side' as though it has false eyes and the markings also looks like a 'face'. Spiders from the genus Poltys are known to build an orb web at night to capture prey and the web is eaten up before dawn and reconstructed after dusk. 1. Thanks, Lisa and you have a very good imagination :D

Yep, Ferdy, Spiders from this genus are very cryptic. They are probably a lot of them around, just that difficult to spot/find due to their camouflage particularly during day time as they only come out in the open at night to hunt for food.
