Warthog with some seriously groomed facial hair This picture always makes me laugh because it looks like the warthog carefully combs its side whiskers every morning before going to work! It reminds me of a Gary Larson's The Far Side cartoon, where 2 female warthogs in a bar see a well-groomed male warthog sitting at the bar and one says, "Check it out - God's gift to warthogs!". The warthog or common warthog is a wild member of the pig family found in grassland, savanna, and woodland in sub-Saharan Africa. In the past, it was commonly treated as a subspecies of ''P. aethiopicus'', but today that scientific name is restricted to the desert warthog of northern Kenya, Somalia, and eastern Ethiopia.
