And this completes the coverage of our Colombia 2017 trip, which focused on the northwest. I squeezed every drip out of the set, and it has resulted in this:<br />

I&#039;m surprisingly predictable in usually taking about 3000-3500 shots, of which 700-800 survive. Anyway, we&#039;re not done with Colombia yet. Coming October we&#039;ll be making our 3rd trip, this time focusing on the south, where the Andean foothills meet the Amazon. So next winter, coverage of this amazing wildlife destination hopefully continues.<br />
<br />
In the meanwhile, I&#039;ll be sharing some smaller and simpler macro and zoo sets. <br />
<br />

The bronze-winged parrot is a medium-sized pionus parrot 28 cm long. It is a short-tailed stocky parrot found in forest and woodland in north-western South America.
