Golden Finch Nest Found this while cleaning up my yard this morning on the ground. Looks like it was not put in service or the parents have impeccable nesting hygiene. My bet is that it was not used or the eggs where taken early on. We have a lot of predators that love pillaging nests in the desert. Based on its size and the breeding birds in this area i believe it to be a golden finch nest. Could also be a tit. Geotagged,Spring,United States Click/tap to enlarge

  1. You just have to respect how with a relatively clumsy tool like a beak, such a structure is built! Posted 7 years ago
