Habitat: Growing at the top of a ridge in a dense mixed hardwood/coniferous forest in NW Georgia (Gordon County), US.
Flavor: Unpleasant. Astringent.
Pileus: Dry. Chestnut brown. DNS. Dark brown on KOH application. Changes to dark green around edges after several minutes. Orange on ammonia application.
Flesh: Yellow. Does not bruise.. Changes to brown/dark orange on KOH application. Changes to dark yellow/olive on ammonia application.
