Conical sand Snail ( Conuber conicum) This sand snail was about 40 mm long with short spire and large lower whorl. They vary in colour but this one had beautiful shades of green and rust. Sand snails live in tidal areas and mud flats living on bivalves. They lay eggs in a jelly mass that can be seen as horse-shoe shaped masses on mud.<br />
