I have something walking on my eye! This Black-finned Snake Eel - Ophichthus melanochir lives among sandy bottoms by digging itself into a hole and is usually only seen with just its head jutting out from the hole.  This one was seen with a tiny Simplex Shrimp living on it a and walking all over its head, including its eyes.     1. Yes, to us, definitely annoying.
      But looks like the Snake Eel doesn't mind as the Shrimp crawls all over its head, including the eyes.

The highfin snake eel is an eel in the family Ophichthidae. It was described by Johann Jakob Kaup in 1856, originally under the genus ''Microdonophis''. It is a marine, tropical eel known from the eastern Indian Ocean and northwestern and western central Pacific Ocean, including Australia, French Polynesia, Indonesia, Japan, the Marshall Islands, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Papua New Guinea. It dwells at a depth range of 0 to 40 m , and forms burrows in soft inshore sand sediments. Males.. more
